The Social Acceptance Project - Family Planning (TSAP)
The project has three integrated components - Behavior Change Communication (BCC); Outreach and Health Provider Capacity Building.
BCC will adequately portray family planning as a mainstream health intervention, and influence the hearts and minds of
individuals to make them more pre-disposed to practice family planning and endorse it to their peers.
Outreach will help influence
the creation of a social atmosphere where family planning is an open and relevant topic among influential
individuals, groups and communities.
Health Provider Capacity Building will work with health service providers to improve their knowledge
and skills on family planning contribute at the same time putting in place the necessary protocols to
bring these about, and ensure their sustainability.
Project End: USAID's project assistance will end August 2006.
