LEAD (Local Enhancement and Development) for Health
PROJECT END: The project ends in September 2006.
The LEAD (Local Enhancement and Development) for Health Project seeks to improve the capacity of LGUs to meet the needs of their constituents,
especially the poorest, in providing family planning and other health services.
With the devolved system of governance, this new project seeks to:
(a) developing local level decision-makers' and managers' understanding of
and commitment to improving both family planning and the selected health programs;
(b) strengthen the financial, managerial and technical capacity
of LGUs to deliver the services, and
(c) improve the policy and legislative framework at both the national and local levels to finance and support these program.
