LGU Management
Child Survival / Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI)
Centrally funded grants are used to improve the capacity of private voluntary organizations (PVOs) and their local partners to carry out effective child survival
interventions to improve infant and child health and nutrition.
These include the implementation of various child survival
activities - immunization, Vitamin A supplementation, breastfeeding, control of diarrhea and respiratory infections, etc.).
Strong community participation and social mobilization characterize the success of USAID's Child Survival and IMCI projects.
