COOPERATING AGENCIES (CA's)
One of USAIDs' Population, Health and Nutrition program mandates is to coordinate and collaborate with others working in health sector. USAID works with various cooperating agencies (CAs) that work in population, family planning, reproductive health, maternal and child health, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, nutrition, and other health and development areas.
The main goals of collaboration are to share information, exchange ideas on the best approaches to successfully implement development activities, and, in some cases, to implement activities together. The partners that USAID collaborates with have various technical mandates, and all work to complement one another's work in the field. In this way, we avoid duplication of effort and make the most of limited funding, which leads to greater overall impact.
