USAID partners with Batangas City on multi-sector initiatives

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will launch the Cities Development Initiative (CDI), a multi-sectoral partnership program with local governments, in Batangas City on May 3.
The CDI in Batangas City will maximize the city’s growth potential through significant collaborations in areas such as education, energy, environment, health, economic growth and investment, according to the U.S. embassy in Manila.
City Mayor Vilma Abaya Dimacuha will sign a Memorandum of Understanding with USAID Deputy Administrator Donald Steinberg and USAID/Philippines Mission Director Gloria D. Steele.
