CLEAN ALTERNATIVE ENERGY

Assists national agencies, local governments and communities an open and competitive market for generating and distributing electricity, and use of renewable energy.

ALLIANCE FOR MINDANAO OFF-GRID RENEWABLE ENERGY (AMORE) Program

- A public-private partnership to assist remote communities of former combatants to install renewable energy systems and to operate, maintain and finance these systems on a sustainable basis.

THE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT (SEDP)

USAID supports the PDOE in developing indigenous, clean and renewable energy supply for the transport sector. A highly visible activity is promoting the use of coco methyl ester (CME), a bio-diesel fuel blend that not only helps reduce air pollution but also supports the economic development of poverty stricken coconut farmers.

PHILIPPINE ENERGY AND CLEAN AIR PROJECT (ECAP)

A four-year technical assistance (TA) program, the ECAP is being managed and implemented by PA Consulting Group in partnership with the Department of Energy (DOE), its primary government counterpart, as well as the Department of Environment & Natural Resources (DENR). It seeks to help address the challenges facing two parallel and complementary components: energy and clean air.
